Details Itinerary
After an early breakfast, head to the Kibale Forest National Park headquarters for a briefing about the chimpanzee trekking experience. Accompanied by a ranger guide, venture deep into the dense tropical forest, searching for one of Uganda’s largest chimpanzee populations. The trek can last between 1-3 hours, depending on the location of the chimps. Once you find them, you’ll have one hour to observe and photograph them in their natural habitat, watching their playful interactions and social behaviors.
After the trek, return to your lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, you can choose to visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary, a community-run conservation area famous for its diverse birdlife, primates, and beautiful swamp trails. This is an excellent opportunity for nature lovers and birdwatchers. Later in the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
